Why Caventis exists

Caventis started in Kisumu as a small series of workshops for local reporters who kept running into the same wall: how do you build a credible story from documents that anyone is technically entitled to see, but few people actually know how to read?

What began as informal afternoons around a table has grown into a set of structured programmes, each tightened over repeated sessions with reporters covering land, procurement and longer-form investigations across the country.

We stay firmly within lawful, publicly available methods. That isn't a limitation we work around — it's the entire discipline we teach.
